Remembering the fallen: Lights Out across the Midlands

When Britain declared war a hundred years ago, the-then Foreign Secretary Edward Grey remarked, "the lamps are going out all over Europe, we shall not see them lit again."

As a part of today's commemorations, a campaign supported by the Royal British Legion, has seen people across the Midlands andall over the country light a single candle between 22.00 and 23.00 in memory of the war that had meant to end all wars.
