Rolls Royce to build new engine for major Airbus deal
Rolls Royce has announced a major order from plane maker Airbus, in an exclusive deal for its new Airbus A330neo.
The Derby-based engineering firm will build new Trent 7000 engines for the planes, which will be the seventh member of the Trent engine family.
Rolls Royce say the new Trent 7000 engine, which it has also announced today. will improve fuel consumption by around 10 percent compared to its predecessor used on A330 planes the Trent 700.
