Giant waterslide for Derbyshire village?

The idea of a giant waterslide in the the Derbyshire village of Mickleover has caught the interest of more than 200 people, in the few hours since it was suggested.

The community group Our Mickleover are behind the plans and hope to bring a 100m slide to the area in September as part of an adventure day - scheduled for 7th September.

A similar idea was a great success in Bristol - nearly 100,000 people tried to get tickets to hurtle 90 metres down the city's Park Street - but only 360 people eventually had the chance.
