Birmingham beats Amsterdam in Top 15 holiday destinations

Birmingham has scrapped into TripAdvisor's list of Britons' Top 15 summer holiday destinations.

The city comes in at No.14, beating Amsterdam, but way below rival city Manchester at No.5.

The survey shows that people in Britain are opting for 'Staycations' this year, as London tops the list, followed by Edinburgh, Manchester, Glasgow and Liverpool, along with all-time foreign favourites New York, Paris, Barcelona and Rome.
