Meriden: one year on
A year on from a dispute over land residents in Meriden say the village has changed completely.
They fought a 1,000 day battle with travellers who took over a greenbelt site without planning permission in 2010.
The travellers own the land on Eaves Green Lane but illegally occupied the land next to it for 3 years.
David McGrath who lives in the village led protestors in a round-the-clock watch to make sure the fields could not be built on.
The travellers left the site in April last year.
