Artwork detailing King Richard III’s death is to be unveiled in Leicester’s Cathedral Gardens in Spring.

Leicestershire County Council have commissioned the new piece of art as part of its £250,000 redevelopment contribution.

A series of 12 vertical steel plates will depict Richard III’s death, burial and finally his discovery by archaeologists from the University of Leicester.

The work will be located near St Martins Walk on the west side of Cathedral Gardens near the new Richard III visitor centre.
