Flood warnings and alerts: The full list

Heavy rain overnight falling on saturated ground across the Midlands has sparked a fresh wave of flood warnings and alerts from the Environment Agency.

A total of 23 flood warnings are in force across the region today, with the majority based along the River Severn and the River Avon.

Flood warnings alert people in the area that flooding is expected, and urge them to take immediate action.

Flood warnings are in place in the following areas:

River Severn

  • Twigworth and Lonford

  • Ashleworth

  • South Worcester

  • Hanley Road, Upton-on-Severn

  • Hanley Castle and Saxons Lode

  • Gloucester

  • Hempsted

  • Chaceley and Haw Bridge, including Tirley and Town Street

  • Abbots Court, Deerhurst

  • Court Meadow, Kempsey and Callow End

  • Apperley and The Leigh

  • Sandhurst and Maisemore

  • Severn Ham, Tewkesbury

River Avon

  • Twyning

  • Evesham

  • Weston-on-Avon and Welford-on-Avon

  • Strensham and Bredon

  • Wyre Piddle

Other rivers

  • River Anker at Grendon and Bradley Green

  • River Anker at Mancetter, Witherley and Atherstone

  • River Sense from Temple Mill to Sheepy Magna

  • River Frome at Brimscombe and Thrupp

  • River Leam at Eathorpe, Hunningham and Offchurch

Meanwhile, an additional 33 flood alerts are in force in other areas.

Flood alerts warn people of the possibility of flooding, and urge them to be prepared to take action if necessary.

  • River Wye in Gloucestershire

  • River Wye in Herefordshire

  • River Arrow and River Aine between Studley and Salford Priors, and between Bird in Hand, Henley-in-Arden and Alcester

  • Burton Trent

  • River Anker and River Sense between Nuneaton and Tamworth

  • River Blythe in Warwickshire

  • Rivers Frome and Cam

  • River Stour in Warwickshire

  • Tidal Trent
