Mainly settled for the rest of the weekend. Rather muggy.

In spite of increasing amounts of cloud today, the sun has broken through at times to shine on many Armed Forces Day events across the region.

Low pressure is trying to push across the north of the country but high pressure in the south is holding on long enough to keep it settled for much of the remainder of the weekend.

As for the rest of Saturday, a front edges closer so cloudier in the N and W Midlands but sunny spells further east, highs 17-19c. Starting to feel muggy now too and we expect odd spots of light rain and drizzle at times overnight.
