In the first three months of this year 15 cases of measles have been recorded in the East Midlands. That is 8 fewer cases than were recorded in the last three months of last year.

Although there has been a drop in the number of incidents reported Public Health England is still warning people to go and get vaccinated if they have not already done so. This is because of fears that the measles outbreak in Wales could spread.

In the East Midlands this year there have been cases in:

Nottinghamshire - 8

Lincolnshire - 5

Derbyshire - 2

The highest number of cases in the last three months of last year in the East Midlands was recorded in Derbyshire.
