Funeral for Charlie Harris-Beard

The funeral for a two-year-old boy from Kidderminster, who lost his battle with leukaemia on Friday, will take place later.

The story of Charlie Harris-Beard touched thousands of people.

His family spent months raising awareness of umbilical chord donation, after a transplant helped save his life.

A minute's applause was held at Kidderminster Harriers at the weekend to honour young Charlie.

Charlie's parents, Joe and Fiona, got married last year when their son was given weeks to live.

He was his father's best man at the wedding. Today, the funeral service will take place in the same church the wedding was held, St Mary's Church in Kidderminster.

Hundreds of people are expected to attend the service.
