Lincolnshire Police have launched a crackdown operation to tackle theft from vehicles over the Christmas period.

There have been around 70 recent offences in Lincoln where valuables like sat navs, mobile phones and wallets have been stolen.

40 arrests have been made this year and police have been using 'trap cars' which film criminals when they break into them.

Historically, this problem worsens in the run-up to Christmas as people shop for presents and leave property in the cars while they do so.
