Weather warning

The Met Office has a Yellow Alert in place for wet and windy weather which will sweep northwards through The Midlands this afternoon and overnight. We could see another inch of rain falling on already saturated ground. The wind will increase too with gusts of 50mph.

The rain will clear through on Sunday morning, northern counties waking up to cloud and rain before it turns a little drier. There is still the chance of a few showers behind the rain band though and it will remain fairly breezy.
