Milder weather today

After a chilly night, milder air will move into the region this morning but it will turn cloudier and wetter. There will be one or two brighter spells early on in southern parts of the region, but elsewhere it will be an overcast start to the day with some rain.

This afternoon the rain will spread southwards affecting most parts of the East and West Midlands. The heaviest showers will be towards the Lincolnshire coast. For the rest of the Midlands it will stay overcast with patchy rain. It will be slightly milder than recent days, with a high of around 10 celsius.
