Find your nearest bonfire night event in the Midlands

Remember, remember the 5th November? It's that time of year again, and bonfire night will soon be upon us. ITV Central has taken a look at some of the events that we know about, to help you find your nearest bonfire celebration this weekend.

At the Forest Recreation Ground in Nottingham, there will be fairground rides from 5.30pm tonight, with a grand fireworks display at 9pm. More details can be found on the Nottingham City Council website.

Alton Towers in Staffordshire will be celebrating throughout the weekend, with events running from tonight through to Sunday.

At Snibston in Leicestershire, tomorrow a 'Spooktacular' will take place, with a bonfire, firework display, and children's face painting.

Also on Saturday, as this Google Map shows, Blists Hill Victorian Town in Shropshire will open its doors for a Fireworks Extravaganza, West Midland Safari Park will include safari illuminations in their display, and Kenilworth Round Table will be hosting their 25th annual bonfire night at Kenwilworth Castle.

Drayton Manor will host the first of two nights of celebrations, both tomorrow and Sunday, with many rides open until 9pm.

On Sunday, at Markeaton Park in Derbyshire, there will be a funfair, as well as Weston Park, where the firework displays start at 6pm. And at the Wye Inn in Hereford, bonfire lighting takes place at 6pm with fireworks to follow.

In Birmingham, celebrations will take place on 5th November, at Pype Hayes Park, where the gates open at 4pm, ready for fireworks to start at 8pm.
