Third person charged with Newark murder

A third person has been charged with the murder of a man whose body was found in a Nottinghamshire nature reserve.

Nathan Somers, 19, from Newark, was found on a path in Beacon Hill Conservation Park after police were called to reports of a fight.

Jemelle Rodney, 27, of Thornvile Grove, Surrey was arrested alongside an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy following the discovery of Nathan's body on a path in Beacon Hill Conservation Park.

Rodney will will remain in custody until he appears before Nottingham Magistrates Court today, the other two remain on bail pending further inquiries.

Reuben Edwards, aged 18, of Gardendale Avenue, in Clifton, and a 16-year-old boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, were also previously charged with murder.

A Home Office post-mortem examination found Mr Somers died of a stab wound.
