Kate and Will at National Football Centre

Kate and William arrived by helicopter to officially open the £105 million pound facility in Burton. It's hoped the new centre will produce the next England manager. England football stars were there to welcome the Royal couple.

Kate , who was wearing a grey coat by Reiss and black boots joked about donning a pair of trainers for a kick about later.

Based just outside Burton upon Trent, the facility covers 330 acres and has 11 external pitches.

It also has a research centre for exercise medicine and human performance.

William - a keen Aston Villa fan was ribbed about whether any of his club's players would make it into the national side but he laughed off the question saying it was not his decision.
