Coventry Blaze have announced the signing of National Hockey League star Matt Beleskey.

The 24 year-old Anaheim Ducks player is the second NHL player to sign for an Elite League side in the Midlands after Carolina Hurricanes' forward Anthony Stewart joined Nottingham PanthersThe 24-year-old Ontario native has made 173 regular-season and play-off appearances for Anaheim Ducks, registering 44 points (19 goals and 25 assists).

Blaze will have Beleskey in the line-up for Sunday’s Challenge Cup tie against Panthers at the Skydome
