Midlands Weather Round-up

Flash flooding and strong winds are causing havoc across the region as the rain continues to pour. Shropshire and Herefordshire are the worst hit counties, where more than two inches of rain has fallen since last night.

Several properties in Leominster, Herefordshire, have been flooded causing large amounts of damage. In the last 24 hours, 64mm of rainfall has been recorded in Herefordshire. Shropshire has seen the most rain in the Midlands with 64.6mm falling since yesterday.

An 'Amber' weather warning is to remain across the East and West Midlands until around 4pm this afternoon.

Gale force winds across Lincolnshire are also expected to ease later on in the day.
