Ferrari fest at Silverstone hoping for world record

Over a thousand Ferrari owners have gathered today at Silverstone, as a two-day Ferrari Race Weekend begins.

This evening there's an attempt to break the world record for the largest parade of Ferrari's, with more than 1,200 owners signed up to take part.

Seven decades of prime Italian engineering are on show, with owners only too happy to chat to other enthusiasts and would-be owners alike.

A new Ferrari could cost you the price of a decent family home, and hundreds have been at Silverstone drawing crowds from all over the country.

The motorsport cars on show demonstrated Ferrari's racing prowess, and there was also plenty of action on the track to keep the crowds entertained.
