A Nottingham Forest footballer saved the day when a fan who was travelling to a match with her son realised she had lost their tickets and tweeted for help.

Lynda Coyle, from Nottingham, was on en route to watch her team play an away match against Huddersfield Town when she noticed she did not have the tickets.

Mrs Coyle tweeted several Forest players asking for help, including striker Dexter Blackstock.

But she managed to get more than a retweet when Blackstock responded, saying: "You can have my spare 2 if you want #gooddeedfortheday".

Following the game, Mrs Coyle tweeted thanks to the footballer.
