Olympic gymnast Kristian Thomas returns to his gym in Halesowen tonight for a special reception.

Thomas was part of the Men's Team which won a bronze medal at London 2012 - the first time a British gymnastics team had made it onto the podium for 100 years.

Thomas started training at the Earl's Gymnastics Club as a five year old boy and has been there ever since.

During the Games, dozens of children packed into the gym to watch their local hero make sporting history.

Thomas's success certainly seems to have "inspired a generation" as the London 2012 organisers hoped.

Club chairman John Caulwell told ITV Central they've added another 150 children to their waiting list since the Olympics and gymnastics in being talked about in the town as never before.
