Grieving mother condemns thieves who stole from her child's grave
A grieving mother has condemned thieves who stole mementoes from her son's grave.
Debbie Harthill's son Richard died four years ago and she regularly visits his grave at Witton cemetery in Birmingham.
Last week she discovered several ornaments left by the grave in his memory had been taken.
They included angels, prayer books and ornamental statues.
Debbie Harthill says she is 'absolutely mortified' over the thefts.
Debbie Harthill now wants the thieves to be found and brought to justice, and for extra security to be implemented at the site. Witton Cemetery is the largest in Birmingham.
Other families at the site have also been affected by graveside thefts.
