Shropshire's pentathlete, Nick Woodbridge, has admitted he is considering his pentathlon future after failing to win a medal at his home Olympic Games.

The British number one had hoped to challenge for a medal after winning a bronze in the World Cup Final at the same venue 12 months ago, but yesterday failed to get onto the podium after finishing 10th at Greenwich Park.

The gold medal went to Czech pentathlete David Svoboda, with China's Cao Zhongrong taking silver medal.

Nick Woodbridge was born and raised in Wellington, Shropshire.
