The 2012 British team included Nick Skelton, Ben Maher, Scott Brash and Peter Charles. They enjoyed a spectacular 'extra-time' triumph against Holland at Greenwich Park in London yesterday that sent a crowd of 23,000 wild.

Nick Skelton broke his neck earlier in his career and thought he might not compete again. He also underwent hip replacement surgery in 2011.

Nick paid a glowing tribute to his brilliant nine-year-old stallion Big Star, who has yet to have a fence down in four rounds of jumping at London 2012.
