Sunshine and showers for the weekend

A large low pressure system moving slowly eastwards across the UK will keep the weather unsettled over the weekend. The pattern of sunshine and heavy showers will continue, and temperatures will stay on the cool side for the time of year. Although there will be widespread, scattered showers, a more persisten band of rain will move eastwards across the Midlands overnight tonight and tomorrow morning.

FRIDAY PM:

There will be plenty of gaps in the cloud allowing some sunshine to break through, but in between there will be showers. A slight breeze too, and temperatures reaching a maximum of 20 degrees celsius.
