Where you can see the Lady Godiva procession

A giant puppet of Lady Godiva is travelling through the Midlands as part of the Cultural Olympiad for London 2012.

Thousands of people saw the spectacle in Coventry on Sunday and the procession is moving through the region as the art work makes its way to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

  • A45 (London Rd)

  • B4225 (Rugby Rd)

  • Barby Rd to Rugby School

Today the historic figure is travelling from Coventry to Rugby School, and people are being encouraged to come and take part in the event.

Godiva herself is powered by a hundred cyclists. The "Godiva Awakes" is one of twelve public art projects commissioned for the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad, funded by Arts Council England.

On Tuesday she will move on from Rugby School to Northampton along the following route.

  • Rugby School to Kilsby Lane

  • Kilsby to the A5, A5 to the A45

  • A45 to Upper Heyford

  • Upton and on to Market Square Northampton.

Lady Godiva is expected to arrive in Northampton at 3;30pm when she will be fitted with a pair of giant boots ready for her next leg towards London. taking in Luton, Hatfield, Waltham Abbey and Waltham.

In each town, evening celebrations will be held to mark the giant puppet's arrival.
