More rain from the west tonight

It should be a fairly fine evening. Credit: ITV Central

A fairly pleasant evening in store, but things will go downhill tonight.

By dusk it could turn cloudier and rain will sweep in around midnight, reaching all parts of the Central region through the early hours, temperatures in low double figures.

The pulses of rain push west to east tomorrow with some heavier bursts in the West Midlands later, particularly likely through the sweep from Shropshire to Herefordshire; maybe a few rumbles of thunder here too. 17 or 18c your high, 64f.

More general rain on Tuesday, then more in the way of showers from Wednesday onwards; positioning and intensity are totally dependent on the position of low pressure.
