Torvill and Dean return to Nottingham's Market Square to carry Olympic Torch
They may be used to high profile performances, their Olympic Gold in 1984 attracted worldwide acclaim, but tonight Torvill and Dean could have found a rival for that special moment.
Tonight, the skating duo, will perform a specially choreographed routine at the Nottingham Ice Arena, before lighting the cauldron at the evening celebrations - all whilst carrying the Olympic Torch.
It will be the first time they have returned to Market Square in front of so many fans since their Olympic win 28 years ago.
The duo have spent months getting prepared and say they are excited to be a part of it.
Their routine will be the finale to an hour long show featuring local and international skaters.
In preparation for the Olympic Torch's arrival today, over 2,000 cones and signs have been put in place across Nottingham city to close roads, to control traffic, and manage parking.
Hundreds of volunteers have been recruited to act as marshals and stewards along the route.
