A thunderstorm with torrential rain greeted the Flame in Nottinghamshire

Mansfield's most famous sporting star Rebecca Adlington is celebrated for her success in the water, and there was no shortage of it as the torch arrived there this morning.

A large thunderstorm with torrential rain greeted the Flame as it was carried through the town.As it arrived at the Rebecca Adlington centre, the pool named in her honour after her success at the Beijing Games four years ago, it was met by Mansfield's Mayor.Among the guests at the event were Rebecca Adlington's family, and local Paralympic swimmer Ollie Hynd.Among the Torchbearers in Mansfield was 12 year old Ella Smallwood, who carried the flame in memory of her mother who died from cancer last year.
