Man in court accused of stealing more than 600 drain covers
Graham Leith has appeared at Worcester crown court accused of stealing 628 metal drain covers.
The covers, belonging to three local councils, were worth £155,000.
Today, Mr Leith appeared for a plea and case management hearing.
He is charged with twelve counts of theft and one count of selling stolen goods. 628 drain covers were stolen belonging to Warwickshire County, Worcestershire County and Solihull Metroplitan Burrough councils.
Dressed in a black suit, black shirt and black tie, Mr Leith spoke to confirm his name and then pleaded not guilty to all thirteen counts.
The trial is listed for five days beginning January 28th.
