Birmingham Symphony Hall celebrates 21 years
The Birmingham Symphony Hall celebrates its twenty-first birthday today.
The concert venue will mark the occasion with a seven month festival which will include one concert featuring Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Chorus with Elgar's The Music Makers and Ravel's Daphnis and Chloe suite, performed at the first concert in the venue.
Having hosted over 7,500 events and welcomed more than 10 million visitors since being opened by the Queen in 1991 the Birmingham venue has much to celebrate.
The 2,262 seat venue has been host to musical talents such as Bruce Springsteen and Morrissey along with some of the world's greatest soloists and orchestras.
