Notts County gala dinner to mark 150 years

Notts County will tonight hold a gala dinner to mark its 150th anniversary as the World's oldest football league club,

The Anniversary Gala banquet will be held in a marquee on the pitch at Meadow Lane and will start at 7:00pm this evening.

It will be hosted by broadcaster Colin Murray and there will be a speech from former Chairman of the Football League Lord Mawhinney.

Players and staff from past and present will also be there to celebrate the milestone.

It's part of a series of events through the year to mark the club's 150th anniversary.

It was founded in 1862 and was a founder member of the English Football League in 1888.
