Birmingham City Manager joins Norwich
Birmingham City have thanked departing manager Chris Hughton who joined top flight side Norwich today.
In just one season Hughton, led Birmingham on an impressive run in the Eurlopa League and reached the play offs, where they lost to Blackpool.
Birmingham City's acting Chairman Peter Pannu said in a statement:
Hughton was only in charge for 12 months, having replaced Alex McLeish who had departed for arch rivals Aston Villa.
Hughton now finds himself replacing a Villa bound manager for the second time in a row after Paul Lambert replaced the sacked McLeish at Villa earlier this week. Now Birmingham will begin their search for a new manager. Whoever is appointed will look to go one step further than Hughton and lead Birmingham City back to the Premier League.
