The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity celebrates 21 years
The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is celebrating its 21st birthday today.
The charity provides a rapid response service in emergencies and often life saving missions.
The Midlands Air Ambulance completed its first airlift on May 21st, 1991, and since then, they have responded to over 36,000 missions.
Receiving no government or National Lottery money, they rely solely on donations, needing to raise over £6 million a year to remain operational.
The charity will celebrate with a Gala ball-taking place next month held at Edgbaston Cricket Ground.
