The Leicestershire and Derbyshire Yeomanry will be granted Freedom of the Borough
The Leicestershire and Derbyshire Yeomanry will be granted Freedom of the borough of Oadby and Wigston today.
Over 60 soldiers will march through the streets, along with armoured vehicles and the Royal Yeomanry Band.
The march will start at the TA centre and finish at a civic reception, where the Mayor of Wigston and Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire will inspect the troops at the war memorial at St Thomas Church Wigston.
Since 2003, troops from the Royal Yeomanry have been deployed to war zones in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
