Residents returning to caravan park told to remain on 'high alert'

Guests and caravan owners at Billing Aquadrome in Great Billing, Northampton are allowed back in today if necessary, but have been told to remain on high alert as more rain is forecast tonight.

The Flood Warnings for the area remain in force and are likely to do so for several days.

People have been advised to stay away from the site for the next couple of days and make other arrangements if they can.

They should only return if they have to and should put together a ‘grab bag’ of essential items including medicines, so that they can be evacuated again at short notice if necessary.
