Staff at Rolls Royce in Derby will be treated to a special flyover of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner this morning.

Workers there have made the engines for the plane and the flyover has been organised as a way of saying 'thank you'.

The Dreamliner planes cost £100 million each and will operate from East Midlands Airport.

The 787 can carry 290 passengers and has been dubbed "the plastic plane" because it is made out a mix of plastic and metal, making it much lighter than existing jets.

Around 3,5000 Dreamliners are expected to be built in the coming years, helping to secure thousands of jobs in the UK.
