Woman seriously injured after car crashes into Birmingham hospital
A woman has been seriously injured after a car crashed into a hospital in Birmingham.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said the 64-year-old woman from Tamworth in Stafforshire was sitting on a bench in the grounds of Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield, when a car hit the wall of a WH Smith kiosk, which forms part of a foyer area in a treatment centre at the site.
Hospital staff treated her for a head injury and she was then transferred to the major trauma centre at Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
West Midlands Police said the driver of the car was an 83-year-old woman from Sutton Coldfield.
A 56-year-old woman from Dudley, West Midlands, suffered minor injuries in the collision.
