Its to celebrate the connections between the Royal family, and the last and oldest manufacturer of English bone china.

Its called “Throne”, and features commemorative pieces of Royal Crown Derby from King George III to the present day. There are also photos and video of former workers talking about royal visits. Particularly the visit of Queen Elizabeth to the city in 1949.

The company has 260 years experience of manufacturing bone china, and has made many gifts for the royal family during this time. They will be on display at a preview of the exhibition today.
