Teachers in Nottingham will go on strike tomorrow about proposals to split the school year into five terms.

Despite holding talks with Nottingham City Council, the National Union of Teachers say strike action will go ahead.

The union say the five-term system will make teaching harder and fear many teachers in the city will look to move elsewhere.

At least ten city schools are set to close on Thursday, while several others will run on a reduced timetable.
