School from highest village to light Jubilee beacons

It's one of the smallest schools in the UK - but Flash Primary has celebrating one of the biggest honours.

The entire pupil population - of 7 - witnessed the arrival of the country's first Diamond Jubilee Beacon.

Flash Primary School is situated in the highest village in the UK.

The children are the first school to light one of the beacons, they say they are delighted.

In total almost 3 thousand beacons will be lit around the country.
