Man bailed in connection with Goole incident

Following our extensive investigations and subsequent forensic tests, we now believe that the man who died sadly suffered a serious medical episode at the time of the incident.

“He was taken to hospital for treatment but passed away on the evening of Tuesday 18 December.

“Our specialist officers are in contact directly with his family and are providing support to them.

“Neighbourhood officers have been in the area to provide reassurance to the local community.

“I want to send a reminder that this is still an ongoing investigation and any speculation could potentially harm any future enquiries.”
