Turnout confirmed for Sheffield City Region mayoral election

Turnout in the first Sheffield City Region mayoral election has been confirmed as 25.82 percent.

The total number of votes cast was 260,260. Sheffield City Region has an electorate of 1,007,985.

Turnout was lower in Rotherham and Doncaster due to no local elections there.

Voting in the election was restricted to Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster and Barnsley - constituent members of the Sheffield City Region Combined Authority.
