Major delays on M1 motorway due to overturned lorry

The M1 is closed in both directions, with queueing traffic due to accident investigation work between J46 A6120 Selby Road / A63 Selby Road (Leeds Colton / Garforth) and J45 A63 Pontefract Lane (Leeds Cross Green), congestion on M1 to J43 M621 (Belle Isle) and on M1 to J47 A642 / A656 / B1217 (Garforth / Micklefield).

It follows an overturned lorry on the southbound carriageway.

Trapped traffic has been released southbound.
