Councillor who suffered heart attack launches ultra marathon series
A Leeds councillor, who has a passion for ultra distance running , says he is lucky to be alive after suffering a heart attack while out training.
Ryk Downes was minutes from home when he collapsed at the roadside last year - before being revived using a community defibrillator.
He's now back on his feet - and has set up his own Punk Panther series of ultra marathons to help others enjoy his favourite routes - his latest race is today
