Trusts urge people to stay away from A and E's

Near deserted hospital car park at Lincoln

Health trusts in the region affected by the cyber attack are urging people only to attend their A and E departments in an emergency.

Hospitals including Lincoln, Grantham, Boston and York are continuing to experience problems.

In Lincoln, all outpatient appointments have been cancelled this weekend. The Trust says it is working hard to resolve problems.

In York, a small number of elective operations have been cancelled and patients have been informed. Breast screening clinics have been cancelled but other outpatient activity should continue as normal

The trust there says all critical systems are operational, that contingency systems (paper based) have been activated and that IT teams are working to get PCs functioning, but it is a slow process.
