South Yorkshire detectives have now told Kerry that they believe Ben died on the day he vanished, after a new witness came forward to say that the toddler had been struck by a JCB digger near where he was last seen.
Kerry has been told to prepare herself for the worst.
"This time I think it's to finalise it. To finalise it. Lay it to rest. Lay Ben to rest. Lay our lives to rest if you like. I don't know where we will go from there after, I don't know."
