Kerry Needham has told ITV Calendar that she does not want to believe her son, Ben, who vanished 25 years ago on the Greek island of Kos, is dead.
Kerry has been told by South Yorkshire detectives that they think Ben was killed in a tragic accident on the day he disappeared.
She says she is in a state of shock and is struggling to process the new information that has come to light.
"We don't want to accept it. We don't want to believe it. We've lived for 25 years with that hope that one day he will come through the door. We don't want to accept it. It's going to be difficult, really really difficult"
