Gold for Rio flatmates Kadeena Cox and Karen Darke
They are flatmates in Rio - and this afternoon Kadeena Cox, from Leeds, and Karen Darke, from Mytholmroyd, are celebrating after both won Gold medals on day seven of the Paralympics.
Their wins see Great Britain surpassing the London 2012 total. ParalympicsGB now have 37 golds, improving on 34 four years ago.
Kadeena, 25, set a world record of one minute 0.71 seconds to win the T38 400m, having won gold in track cycling's C4-5 last week. And Karen, 45, took the H1-3 time trial title.
Her father, Mike, back in Mytholmroyd said simply: "Great. She deserves it!"
