Body recovered from Didcot power station
Emergency services workers formed a guard of honour as a body was recovered from the remains of Didcot power station.
Four men – Ken Cresswell, 57, and John Shaw, 61, both from Rotherham, 34-year-old Christopher Huxtable from Swansea and 53-year-old Michael Collings from Teesside – were all working at the power station in Oxfordshire when one of the buildings collapsed on February 23.
The body of Mr Collings was recovered at the time, but those of the other three men have remained inside.
Thames Valley Police yesterday confirmed another body had been found by search teams. It was recovered by ambulance in silence the early hours of this morning. His identity has not yet been established.
